Site (seems) to be working now

So, the site seems to be working better now.   I didn’t log on much over the last week.  Between the holiday and the site being soooo sloooow, it wasn’t worth it.

I’m actually happy in that I only gained 3 lbs over a holiday week.  I can gain 5-10 lbs very easily (10 lbs in a week - easy), so to have only gained 3 lbs was pretty good, especially because I can lose weight relatively easily too. 

So hopefully in a couple of days, I’ll be back to my previous weight & then to my mini goal.

Very close to next mini goal + Before & After pic’s

I finally got around to putting up before & after pics (per several requests), but they’re on my profile.  I wasn’t sure how to embed them in a blog.  Plus I’m very lazy and that was the easiest way.  They’re not great photos, but I actually haven’t seen myself in a photo since I’ve lost weight, so it was really shocking (in a good way to see the change).

Anyways, 1 more pound to my mini goal and 11 more pounds to the 200 lb mark.
Not sure what I’ll do after that but it’ll be a nice problem to have.

Big food weekend

So, I overate terribly this weekend.
Fried Chicken, Mac & Cheese (my son was in town), dessert,…etc.

So, I gained 4 lbs over the weekend but I’m actually calm right now.

I actually found all that eating really disgusted me and I actually couldn’t wait to get to eating healthy foods again.  It used to be the complete opposite.
So Monday I ate very healthy.  No specific diet or points …etc, but I’ve been doing this long enough where I just know whether I’m eating proper or not.

It’s actually a relief to know that I now find my old habit pretty disgusting.

3′rd mini goal and the big 50

So, I met my third mini goal.  The last two were only 10 lbs each, but that’s still another 10 lbs.

I’m actually down to 217, which means I’ve actually lost 50 lbs from my highest weight, which is really cool.  So, I’m hoping to be down below 200 by the end of the year, which is very realistic.

After that, it will only be a matter of maintaining my weight & toning up.  185 is my ideal chart weight but I don’t really care about that anymore.

I’m glad I didn’t buy new pants in july because they wouldn’t fit now. lol. 

Met Second Mini Goal

Well, I met my second mini goall.

It was only 10 lbs, but it’s one of the first times I ever met 2 weight loss goals without having to start over, so I’m psych’ed about that.

When I get to 220, it will be my lightest weight in many years, so that’ll be cool too.
I plateaued again for a very long time, but now I seem to be losing again, so everything is pretty darn good right now.

Weight loss over time (versus day to day or week to week)

I noticed a lot of people talking about weight fluctuating (gaining when they thought they should have lost and vice versa)

This is actually to be expected.
I actually weigh myself everyday (always first thing in the morning, and always on the same scale)

I actually put a chart of it on my profile (as a picture) since I didn’t know how to embed it in a message.

It’s actually pretty enlightening (for me anyways) because I have definitely lost 30+ lbs, but you also see all the fluctuations.  This actually helps me to not worry about when I gain a few pounds.

Back Spasms = No working out

I haven’t worked out in over a week & have gained more weight back (about 10 lbs from lowest point).

I’ve back spasms for about a week now and can barely move around much less work out.   Fortunately, the doctor doesn’t think it’s a slipped disc, so I should hopefully get better.

Hopefully I can avoid eat at least moderately healthy and avoid pizza & beer while I rest.

Thanks to everyone that reminding me I haven’t blogged in a while or that they haven’t heard from me in a while.
The timing was very good.  I ate and drank way too much Sat, Sun & Mon (I ate 1/2 a pizza Mon nite).  So I forced myself to log on and write something down just to get myself refocused. I gained at least 5 lbs in the last 3 days.
Anyways today is a new day and everything is back to normal.  Once I start eating healthy again, the weight will come off in a couple of days.

I did set a new mini goal of 230, which is good, because it’s only 10 lbs aways and it’s doubly good because it will less than I weighed when I was 22.
I don’t blog all that often but thanks again to everyone.

Made my mini goal

Well, I haven’t blogged in a while.  It’s really not something that I’ve gotten into, but I did make my first mini-goal.

It took a total of 4 months (lots of losing & gaining back at first) but the last 2 months have been great.

I’m under 240 for the first time in quite a few YEARS, so that’s really cool.

Sorry, I still refuse to buy new pants.

Got a gold (or green) star

So, I got my gold (or green) star for losing 25 lbs.

Ironically, I didn’t even know I was getting there.  I knew I was close to my mini-goal, (1-lb away), so I’ll celebrate then I guess.  It’s also starting to become more noticeable now.  None of clothes (pants especially) fit anymore and since I refuse to buy new ones, I pretty much go around all day looking like cross between a Hobo and Forrest Gump, but that’s OK.

Yeah, I’ll probably buy clothes eventually but not now.
